You may have seen white bandanas and the hashtag #tiedtogether overflowing your social media feeds. What is this frenzy all about and why has it gone viral? Tied Together is a movement organized by The Business of Fashion in support of solidarity, human unity and inclusiveness, but also raising awareness and funds for the ACLU and UNHCR. Unarguably, the world has been flooded with uncertainty and fear, people’s emotions are all over the place and it is now that we have to stand together – regardless of race, sexuality, gender or religion.
The goal is to reach a total of 10,000 #tiedtogether posts on Instagram this Fashion Month. For each post, BoF’s donors and benefactors will pledge $5 to the campaign for a target of $50,000. Many creative directors, designers and influencers have joined the cause, so why not you? Make a statement, let the voices of hope and acceptance grow louder. Tie, snap, tag and share your photos!
